Be a part of AJF for a dialog on Douriean Fletcher: Jewellery of the Afrofuture, the primary main museum exhibition devoted to the artist who designed the jewellery for Marvel Studios’ Black Panther movie franchise. Organized by the Museum of Arts and Design (New York Metropolis), the place it was co-curated by the Museum’s Barbara Paris Gifford and Sebastian Grant (impartial curator and professor at Parsons College of Design, New York Metropolis), the exhibition presents Fletcher’s jewellery as highly effective storytelling, exploring Black identification, spirituality, and Afrofuturist creativeness.
