CMJ appoints Jason Allum to board of administrators

The Firm of Grasp Jewellers (CMJ) has introduced the appointment of Jason Allum of Allum and Sidaway to its board of administrators.

Allum beforehand served on the CMJ’s board of administrators for eight years from 2013 to 2021.

He was absolutely opted onto the board in April 2025 after spending the previous 12 months shadowing the board and can be put ahead to the membership for formal ratification on the AGM later this 12 months.

Current board members embody; CMJ chairman Michael Aldridge of Neil and Barker, Peter Simpkins of Simpkins Jewellers, John Neville of Neville Jewellers, Gemma Murphy of Jack Murphy Jewellers and Judith Lockwood of Mesmeric Distribution.

Aldridge, chairman of the CMJ, mentioned: “We’re delighted to welcome Jason again onto the Board. He’s an skilled and really profitable enterprise proprietor, whose ardour and data can be invaluable.”

Allum added: “I’m honoured to be invited again onto the CMJ Board. I hope my expertise and dedication, working alongside my fellow devoted administrators, will assist to proceed the expansion of the corporate to profit all of its members.”

Allum and Sidaway is a founding member of the CMJ. It’s a household enterprise that was based in 1942 and now has six shops throughout the south and southwest of England.

The CMJ is run by a democratically elected board of members, each a member of the jewelry trade with years of expertise and fervour.
